Toy Girls - Catalogue Series 75: Jazz Fenton

    I’m glad I’m finally back at schedule. This will be a pretty hard weekend: I had two projects to finish, one for this Sunday, and another one for Monday. But before all that, here I give you another work for The Catalogue Series. I’m mickeyelric11 and this is Toy Girls!

    Even if a particular Fictional Work sucks, that doesn’t mean that it can’t have a t least 1 remediable thing. When we tag a TV Show, or any piece of entertainment, as “bad”, it’s not always because it is 100% shit, but because it got more bad stuffs than good ones, and we consider it worthless. However, here’s the gimmick: most of the time, plenty of bad Fictional Works have some good elements that we can enjoy. This is my case with this show, which gave us this marvelous character, and even in a young form. For this Saturda:

    Jazz Fenton, her kid version, from “Danny Phantom”, a special request for my great friend, and great fan of my artwork,

    I’ll try to not step on many toes, for respect to the requester, who is a great fan of this show, but I have to be honest here, because lying is far worse: I HATE “DANNY PHANTOM”. Let’s just leave the bad stuff in that I don’t consider it a good show, and I’m far from being a fan. HOWEVER, I do find pretty great elements in it.

    First, the world it built is fantastic. I mean it. This could be one of the Best Mythologies about Ghosts I have ever seen in fiction. It’s pretty interesting and can be used very well as a standard, like the 4 Elements Management from “Avatar: The Last Airbender” (another show that I hate but everyone seems to love, by the way). Also, the Superhero Concept of “Danny Phantom” is incredible too, and I like almost everything about it: the powers, the transformation, the physical features, etc.

    However, even if I consider it excellent, this is not what I love more about “Danny Phantom”. That’s it Jazz Fenton.

    No! It’s not because I consider it a really Sexy Female Character (but she is pretty good looking). In my opinion, Jazz Fenton is one of the Best Big Sisters from Fiction of All Time (actually, she is at second place).

    Even if this show got a lot of clichés, I’m so grateful that they didn’t pick the “Mean Teenage Big Sister” one. Jazz is the total antithesis of the Big Sisters in media.

    Because she really doesn’t like her Jack and Maddie’s Parenting Skills, she has decided to act like a guardian to Danny: she cares for him, worries for him, loves him a lot, protects him as much as she can, and even she has discovered his secret, so she helps him in his Superhero Career.

    Even if she keeps some sins, she is so nice like a Big Sister, and Danny is a pretty good Little Brother. Their relationship is the most beautiful thing of the show, and you really believe that they love one another.

    Also, yes, I really love the concept of having a Little Brother as the Main Hero. I just find it fascinating.

    So, even if I despise this show, I’m so glad to draw the kid version of Jazz Fenton, which is cannon, by the way, as a Toy Girl.

    Like I said, I used as a sample the Flashback Scene were we had the younger versions of Jazz and Danny. I haven’t seen that scene outside from stills, but, for what I see, I think Kid Jazz was protecting Little Danny from some creatures with a  broom, so, aside of drawing her younger, I also put the infamous object, as a reminder of the scene.

    Also, I consider that Jazz looks way better without liptick

    I really want to thank Jee Shan, the requester, for asking me this character. Even if I’m a big hater of this cartoon, I’m a big fanboy of this BSaLBR, and this work ended up amazing. I hope more people ask me for more characters from show that I can’t stand (I’m not sarcastic, I SWEAR), because “Cuteness shall last”.
