Toy Girls - Shelf Series 56: Heloise

    Well, the lack of College is really affecting me right now: the Friday has already arrived and I didn’t even notice it. I really need to get a job or start the next level in studies. But before anything, I’m mickeyelric11 and this is another work for The Shelf Series for my project of Toy Girls. SO, let’s get this started!

    Plenty of Fantasy works, even if they have a cast mostly composed of Fantastical Creatures, use to add Human Characters so the public can have some elements to get identified with. It makes kind of sense: when someone sees a world full of Non-human beings, the first step will be to look for the characters that look or act more like a person. If we have to look for a case like this in a cartoon, we find this series, which got this pretty cute, and deadly, girl. For this day:

    Heloise, from “Jimmy Two-Shoes”.

    “Jimmy Two-Shoes” was really a pretty odd animated series. It was set in a completely dystopian world, Miseryville, ruled by a little bastard, Lucius, who owned a company dedicated only to make the place worse by selling terrible products, but everything changed when THE FIRE NATION ATTACKED!!!... XD XD XD. Sorry! But then we find Jimmy, who is totally the contrary: a really happy teen boy who tries to have fun in the Hell Hole, alongside his friends Beezy and Heloise, while driving nuts to the main “antagonist” Lucius.

    It was OK. For what I know, even if it was really well received in his original country, it was a big failure her in Latin America, so it didn’t last really long.

    However, let’s talk right now about Heloise.

    Aside from the really weird, but still pretty nice, name, Heloise could have been one of the most memorable and loved elements from this show. Even if she was a Secondary Character like Beezy, she was still human, like Jimmy, so it was really hard to ignore her.

    Also, even if Jimmy was a really likeable character for trying to be happy in a shit hole like Miseryville, Heloise was more interesting for being more complex. She was cruel and creepy, but wasn’t really an evil person; she loved causing pain in others, but had a crush in the main character; she was really cute, but got a pretty out-of-place scare on her forehead; she was really smart but also not really sociable.

    Talking about her crush in Jimmy, even if she looks way younger than Jimmy, here in dA you can find a lot of fanart depicting this shipping. I won’t say it’s creepy, because they are both underage, and it’s not out of character.

    Talking about fans, I’m one more of them when talking of Heloise, so I’m really glad to turn Heloise into a Toy Girl.

    Because her outfit was just a simple red robe, I had to find a way to still show a human silhouette under it. It wasn’t really hard.

    But what was really difficult to make was the hair, because I had to translate a flat head into a round one; and I also had to put the highlights.

    Because she was kind of an antihero, and a pseudo crazy scientist, I put her with an evil grin. Also, I nearly forgot it, but I drew her scar at the end, because it was one of her most memorable features.

            Well, without anything else to say, I’ll try to improve my life too with a job, while making more Toy Girls, because “Cuteness shall last”.
