Description

Greeting, to all the followers of Toy Girls, I’m mickeyelric11 and I give you the welcome to y Third Subseries: The Arts & Crafts Series. Here, I wil transform into my style characters from live action, literature without canonical pictures, and cartoon characters not that humanoid. Remember that here you can also ask for commissions. So, let’s start with this brand new subseries. I will be the one giving the first step.

So, you spot this cartoon in childhood, but you really skip it for thinking it’s the corniest thing you have ever seen in life, and you keep doing this for years. mThe, someone else talks about it like the last Coca Cola Bottle of the Desert, but you still don’t believe it. So, one day you to finally sit down and watch it…and you fell in love with it. This series, got so many good characters, but I just adore this one. For you:

    Sue Ellen, from “Arthur”.

The first time I know about Arthur existence, at some point of my childhood, I really prejudiced it like one of the corniest and ridiclous Preschool TV Show. I just see the animal characters, really far from the style of Rocko’s Modern Life, and the fact of seeing them smiling so much didn’t help o much, and with just barely hearing the songs within, I really wanted to just get the fuck out of there.

I do see some pat of some episodes, like the one where Buster stole that Robor, when DW was sent to her room, part of the Christmas Special, and the fossil episode, but still I was even “afraid” of sitting in front of t for having a hammy experience to no believe (FUCK YOU, Dora the Explorer!).

So, the years passed, and I kept hearing about this show, especially for its infamous episode “Arthur’s Big Hit”. But I have to say, thanks to looking for that stupid episode I discovered Mr. Enter, one of my favorite critics of all time, after the Nostalgia Critic, of course. The funniest part: Mr. Enter considers Arthur one of the best kids’ cartoons of all time.

So, after some time, I finally decided to watch this show, just last winter, finally decided to see a complete episode and…IT WAS A NEW PHASE OF MY LIFE.

In my opinion, Arthur is the perfection of all the things I loved from Milly, Molly. I don’t only consider it one of the Best Preschool TV Show Ever, but also one of the Best Cartoon of All Time. It’s like As Told By Ginger, but with a more likeable style.

Like I said, the main reason why I consider so great to Arthur was for doing the same thing Milly, Molly did, but with more budget: having a nice style (with better animation), deep and memorable characters (but more than in Milly, Molly), serious stories (but in an urban scenario), and treating serious them, adapted to a young public, without destroying it with comedy attempts, but still being a fun ride, like cancer, dyslexia, bullying, allergies, Asperger’s Syndrome, asthma, stealing, etc (but with more episodes).

Like As Told By Ginger, it also has the bad luck of having unlikeable characters (FRANCINE!!!), and sometimes the character’s look can look a little off (Muffy would be cuter if she wasn’t a “big mouth”) but you can forgive that for the such great stories, morals and the other characters that you indeed like and look better. So yeah, this series goes along with other like “Milly, Molly”, “Martha Speaks”, “My Little Pony: FiM”, “Jlly Jamm”, “Earth to Luna”, “Elliot Kid”.

From this show, my favorite female character is Sue Ellen. She is not only nicer and prettier than Francine (AKA, Asuka Dodie Langley Bishop Cartman), but she is more interesting for being more complex in hobbies and knowledges, also…SHE MADE A CUTE COUPLE WITH ARTHUR!!! (This must be cannon!).

Also, even if I’m not a big fan of girls with red curly hair, the design of this character really fits with her cat face. She really looks like that pretty girl and nice girl you really wanted to be your girlfriend back in Elementary.

So, while considering to start the Arts & Crafts Series, I was thinking more and more in making first Sue Ellen (this show really made me to reconsider this subseries), and yes, I finally decided to make her into a Toy Girl.

Because she was red hair, I decided to make her Caucasic and with freckles. Because her original style was with black point for pupils, I gave her cyan eyes. The funniest part was the hair, for how fluffy it was. Also, I chose this spot to make her the sweetest as possible.

I was kind of afraid of the new Sue Ellen not looking as cute as in the original style, but I think I made a good work. She still looks like your Elementary School Crush.

I think I’m starting with the right foot in this subseries. I hope this gets as popular as the others, because “Cuteness shall last”.

With the exception of Arthur's Big Hit even though Sue Ellen isn't in said episode.
