Minnie and Aldy - Super Siblings

            This last week I had the bad luck of being strike by insomnia one night. So, because I couldn’t sleep, I decided to make a good use of that spare time, so I grab a notebook and started to doodle. So, I remember the idea that Ava gave me with this fanart (abwingz.tumblr.com/image/39721…), I said to myself: “It’s time to make another fanart with Minnie and Aldy”.

            So, here the theme was “Superheroes”, but later it developed to “Anime Heroes”. I decided to draw Minnie and Aldy in a scene where they play to be superheroes, but, instead of “DC” or “MARVEL”, I used as muses the Maho Shojo and Shonen.

            I just find so adorable the idea. Seeing that Minnie and Aldy are still very young, and seeing the very jolly attitude of Minnie, they have the luck of still playing together to fight for justice.

            Here I decided to improvise in every cosutumes, but having some elements in the mind. With Minnie, I thought in “Sakura Cardcaptors” and in a little of “Sailor Moon”, you can see that in the fancy clothing, the elegant club, and the mini skirt totally useless for a combat XD XD XD. While with Oswald, seeing that I made him a fan of “Fullmetal Alchemist”, I put some elements related to that anime like the color red and the steel-looking gloves, and talking about metal, I put on him workshop elements like a face shield (similar to one I used to wear in High School), and some steel-point boots (based in the ones I wear); oh, and he is also wearing kung fu pants. BTW, the names of their alter egos are “Princess of Hearts” and “Steel Hands”.

            Even if I used anime as my main inspiration, I still added some American-Comic elements like band masks and a cape.

            And because I have really wanted to make a drawing over a photo for a long time, I thought this would be a perfect occasion; considering that I really didn’t want to make a background from 0.

            I look in my computer for a good photo of a nice scenery where these could fit, and I found one of a park fountain. To make them for fitting, I also shaded them and give them a cast shadow to each one. I didn’t blur them because it was too hard XD XD XD

            I’m really proud of thios drawing. I’m so glad that I could accomplish two artistic goals, and also to have finished this in a short time. I hope you enjoy it too.
